PR & Marketing Officer

Campus: DigiPen (Singapore)

PR Responsibilities:

  • Handles external communications on behalf of DigiPen (Singapore) and DGS.
  • Cultivate media contacts and build the media database for DigiPen (Singapore) and DGS.
  • Draft content and/or provide editorial oversight as needed for all external and internal communications, e.g. articles, speeches, press releases.

Marketing Responsibilities

  • Strategize with various departments to identify angles to profile DigiPen (Singapore) and DGS. 
  • Conduct interviews and write articles about DigiPen (Singapore) and DGS.
  • Strategize and implement the publicity plan for game titles under DigiPen Game Studios.
  • Manage digital assets, e.g. facebook and any other social media sources for DigiPen (Singapore) and DGS.
  • Write and edit marketing content; examples include brochures, newsletters, ad copy and web content.

Other Duties

  • Adhere to and liaise with DigiPen Headquarter for approval pipeline
  • Administrative duties including planning and minutes of meetings.
  • Other activities related to communications that may arise from time to time

Exceptional candidates for this position will have: 

  • A bachelor's degree in English, communications, journalism, or a related field.
  • Three to five years of relevant professional experience.

Senior Systems Administrator

Location: Singapore Campus

Qualifications: 

  • At least 10 years of experience in system implementation is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of Linux / Unix administration
  • Working knowledge of Debian/Ubuntu Linux and FreeBSD.
  • Working knowledge of Cisco and HP managed switches.
  • Strong knowledge in one or more scripting languages including perl, php, ruby, bash, and others.
  • Familiarity with any of DigiPen's core technologies including: OpenLDAP, CfEngine, XenServer, Nagios, MySQL, Samba, Apache, MooseFS, Moodle, Nginx, HAProxy, Subversion, Bacula, Muster, rendering software (3d Max and Maya), CUPS, IP telephony systems, and more.
  • The ability to compose technical documents in an easily accessible format.
  • Excellent problem solving skills, and the ability to apply those skills in support of DigiPen's global systems.
  • The ability to work responsibly with or without direct supervision.

Responsibilities:

The primary role for this technical position is being responsible for the configuration and support of all IT services at DigiPen Institute of Technology Singapore. This includes system implementation, server administration, application deployment, service maintenance, and troubleshooting in an academic environment.

  • Participate in the specification, design, deployment, and support of all current and future IT services.
  • Participate in the implementation of new technology, including related testing and system update activities.
  • Identify process improvements and work with the local IT team to implement them; including identification and resolution of persistent or recurring problems.
  • Assist with the installation and expansion of IT equipment as required.
  • Provide support for DigiPen (Singapore) employees as required.
  • Provide support for non-office hours events as required.

Client Services Administrator

Location: Singapore Campus

Starting Date: Immediate

The Client Services Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day support of Windows workstations, peripherals, and audiovisual equipment, including hardware, software, and usage. Workflow is managed through a ticketing system. The candidate should be able to provide guidance to a team of student workers and assists the Client Services Manager in planning upgrades and procedures. Occasional evenings and weekends are required.

Qualifications: 

  • Years of experience providing Technical support is a plus.
  • Good knowledge of Windows Desktop environments and networking.
  • Familiarity with scripting technologies (vbscript, Powershell) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with OS X and Linux systems is a plus.
  • Experience supporting and maintaining peripherals such as printers and scanners.
  • Well organized and able to maintain up-to-date records.
  • Able to lift 40 pounds and preform light physical labor.
  • Availability to perform after-hours work when needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop and laptop PCs and peripherals such as printers.
  • Install, and configure application and operating system software and upgrades.
  • Install, setup, and maintain audiovisual equipment in classrooms and auditoriums.
  • Remove old equipment and perform data migration to new machines.
  • Provide skilled and timely technical support for faculty, students and staff.
  • Maintain records of hardware and software installations throughout DigiPen.
  • Computer hardware diagnosis and maintenance.
  • Maintain good standing relationships with students and staff.

Assistant or Associate Professor, Computer Science Department

Position Description

The Computer Science Department at DigiPen Institute of Technology Singapore, is accepting applications for a full-time position at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor/Lecturer. Applicants must have a graduate degree in Computer Science or closely related field (Ph.D. is preferred.)

Specializations in computer graphics, networking, databases, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and user experience design are desired, but other specializations will also be considered.

Interest and ability to teach undergraduate and graduate-level computer science courses is essential, and experience in above areas is desired. The teaching responsibilities will be primarily focused on the Singapore campus. Faculty may spend not more than one semester of time at the Redmond campus in Washington, USA, as a part of training and professional development. Additional responsibilities of the position include professional and scholarly activities, advising and mentoring students, course and program assessment and development, supervising student projects, and university/community service. Excellent interpersonal skills, written and oral communications skills, and a strong command of the English language are required.

Department of Game Software Design and Production

Campus: DigiPen (Singapore)

Description:  Senior Lecturer and Lecturer positions in the Department of Game Software Design and Production, DigiPen Institute of Technology Singapore.  We expect to make an appointment at both Senior Lecturer and Lecturer levels.

Qualifications: Bachelor or higher degree. Disciplines like Art, Science or Engineering involving interactions between computer science and interactive digital entertainment are preferred.

Previous industry experience in game design and production on multiple platforms is required.  The ideal candidate would have technical knowledge and skills to teach a broad range of subjects related to game design and production.  Development experience in games and/or VR/AR using middleware such as UDK/Unity and expertise in programming and/or scripting languages such as C, C++, C#, or JavaScript is a plus.  A commitment to teaching excellence and scholarship is expected.

Responsibilities:  While teaching some combination of the above subjects as determined by the selected candidate's unique synthesis of interests, he/she is also expected to teach introductory computer / electrical engineering courses. Excellent interpersonal skills, written and oral communications skills, and a strong command of the English language are required. Korean is a plus but not required.
